Byrne Reese is going to release a magazine theme for Movable Type, everyone can check the demo out here.

Besides the big websites who has redesign their Movable Type themes, Hybrid News Theme is the first magzine theme for Movable Type I have ever seen.

Hybrid News theme is based on a WordPress theme, and Byrne Reese added some new features that are not available in WordPress.

   Thanks for the coverage. I want to pay special thanks to the folks behind Hybrid News for WordPress – if it wasn’t for them open sourcing the theme, none of this would be possible. This is the kind of collaboration between our platforms (MT and WP) which I hope to see more of, and one that I personally will work hard at improving.
