Flickr is one of the most popular photo sharing paltform, the environment there is very good, and you can find any kinds of photos you want.

Flickr provides official tools, but a lot of Flickr fans has created their own tools to make photo sharing much easier. Now, I will list some tools that I thought should be useful to Flickr users.

FlickrDown

If you want to download photos from Flickr and keep them locally, you should use FlickrDown, it will make download really easier, you can download photos by entering Flickr username or email address. With authentication, you are allowed to download private photos.

Foldr Monitr

Foldr Monitr is a free tool that runs in the background and watches a selected folder (and optionally subfolders) waiting for you to add photos to it. When photos appear in the folder, Foldr Monitr automatically uploads them to your Flickr account for you.

Fleace

Fleace is a free wallpaper changer that retrieves pictures from Flickr based on topics of your choice.

PicMarkr

This tool lets you to add custom watermark (image or text) to your images online and free. There is a desktop version named PicMarkerPro, but it is not free. Both of the free or paid applicaitons allow you to upload watermarked photos to Flickr, Facebook, Picasa or download to your local computer.
